Craftsy is looking for a creative, organized and versatile Instructional Producer to join our Production Team! Our Instructional Producers are instrumental to the development of our world-class educational content and work closely with both Craftsy team members and our instructors throughout pre-production, on set and post-production processes. 
 
In addition to your resume and cover letter, a link to your portfolio (video clips, etc.) is welcome as part of the application. 
 
As an Instructional Producer, you will:
 
  • Take the lead on assigned Craftsy courses throughout the production processes, partnering closely with both internal team members and external partners 
  • Create top-notch educational content with an eye toward efficiency, cost effectiveness, and quality
  • Offer clear and useful structures for translating educational content from a live classroom environment to video and be able to apply a variety of pedagogical techniques to course outlines
  • Coach, inspire and partner with our instructors to deliver exceptional content in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Partner with Craftsy team members to ensure that shoots are managed effectively
  • Exhibit exceptional leadership and communication skills and will have experience in and passion for video production, teaching
  • Research complex ideas and quickly assign hierarchies of information
 
Your background and experience may include, but are not necessarily limited to:
 
  • A personal passion or experience teaching in one or more of Craftsy’s categories (sew, knit, quilt, or cake decorating) 
  • Experience and expertise with educational models and producing educational content for video
  • Experience teaching or designing educational content for a variety of audiences and ability levels
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and structure abstract information 
  • Strong creative vision and keen attention to detail
  • Experience in video production, ideally in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline-driven environment
  • Interest and ability to work with diverse teams and take on new and expanding tasks similar to those outlined
  • Strong communication, technical and organizational skills
  • Ability to take direction and effectively execute against multiple simultaneous activities to achieve desired outcomes
  • Experience and interest in working in a fast paced, changing and collaborative environment
