The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for prospecting and qualifying new sales leads. This individual should be able to identify and develop new business from multiple sources. The Inside Sales Representative will also actively participate in the planning and execution of marketing activities, providing input based on interaction with clients.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop incoming business opportunities via telephone, email, trade shows, and events to target potential buyers within the intended market.
- Evaluate, prioritize, respond to, and track in-bound business development inquiries and build prospective relationships to move opportunities through the sales funnel.
- Manage data for new and prospective clients in internal CRM system, ensuring all communication is logged, information is accurate, and documents are attached.
- Identify customer trends and prepare and analyze sales reports to help forecast sales, grow and manage the pipeline, and improve the sales process.
- Provide excellent customer service with proactive and appropriate communication of actionable customer and prospect feedback to management, Channel Sales, and other departments.
- Act as a bridge between sales and marketing by conducting research to identify potential buying groups.
- Lead tours of our facility as necessary.
- Assist Sales Support and Channel Sales teams during times of high volume.
- Help with other tasks as-needed to grow the company, serve its customers, and advance Free Software, Libre Innovation, and Open Source Hardware (FLO).
Position Requirements and Competencies:
- Excellent client service skills, both written and verbal with the ability to tailor to diverse customer groups.
- Ability to identify opportunities to add value beyond immediate requests and anticipate upcoming client needs and concerns.
Education and Work Experience:
- Associate's Degree is required; Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
- 1-3 years related experience.
- Experience working in a lean, fast-paced team environment.
- Knowledge of-or, aptitude for quick learning about-the 3D printing industry, and Free Software, Libre Innovation, and Open Source Hardware (FLO) tools and Free Culture licenses.
- Approximately 10-20%, including possible international travel.
- This is a full-time hourly position located in Loveland, Colorado. Prompt and consistent attendance is required.
- Expected work hours are weekdays 7:00am-3:30 pm with overtime during peak sales seasons.
