We are seeking dedicated, high caliber professionals who are smart and energetic, have a positive attitude and take pride in their work. The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the server systems and network services used by Wiland, Inc.  A wide range of technology is employed, including Linux servers, Windows Servers, SAN and flash storage, relational databases, Hadoop, Puppet, virtualization technologies such as VMWare, and cloud providers such as AWS. The Infrastructure Engineer works closely with the Director of IT Infrastructure to maximize the performance and availability of the computing environment and to upgrade the environment in a planned, organized manner.

1. Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux and Windows based servers on physical and virtualized hosts.  
   
2. Maintenance and support of storage subsystems, including FusionIO (SANdisk) flash and NFS/iSCSI network storage.
   
3. Administer LAMP stack, Node.js, internet, and intranet sites.
   
4. Data Center and Network security, including participation in annual security audits.  Job functions include, policy creation and documentation, host auditing, log analysis, server patching, centralized authentication including LDAP, SSL/SSH encryption.
   
5. Network Switch, Router, and Firewall configuration.
   
6. Use of automation, management, and monitoring technologies such as Puppet, Zabbix, and Graylog.
   
7. Support for Windows domain servers, file sharing, and MS Exchange
   
8. Big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and Kafka
   
9. Implement scripts and/or other tools to perform daily and routine administration tasks.
   
10. Perform network backup and recovery operations to ensure recoverability and continuance of business services. 
    

Education, Experience & Qualifications:

• BS Computer Science or equivalent work experience.  Must be able to produce college transcripts showing minimum 3.0 GPA if applicable
  
• 4+ years experience installing, configuring, and supporting Linux/Unix based servers.  Red Hat/ CentOS / Fedora preferred.
  
• Experience with virtualization such as VMware ESXi or Amazon AWS.
  
• Advanced skills in administering Apache web servers, including PHP configuration.
  
• Experience with relational databases, such as MySQL.
