Alteryx, Inc. is looking for a highly skilled security engineer to join our Development Operations team. The ideal candidate will ensure that our software and infrastructure is designed and implemented with best security practices in mind. You will work side by side with some of the most talented engineers in the industry to harden our software applications. You will be responsible for securing the data that we are trusted to protect to the highest standard.

Alteryx, Inc. is looking for a highly skilled security engineer to join our Development Operations team. The ideal candidate will ensure that our software and infrastructure is designed and implemented with best security practices in mind. You will work side by side with some of the most talented engineers in the industry to harden our software applications. You will be responsible for securing the data that we are trusted to protect to the highest standard.
Responsibilities:
- Perform design and implementation security reviews for different aspects of the Alteryx ecosystem
- Analyze, investigate, and troubleshoot information system anomalies based on network traffic, log files, and host-based alerts.
- Design solutions to address security weaknesses within the organization and work with relevant stakeholders to implement them
- Propose and evaluate new security features that could benefit our employees and customers
- Assist with security incident response as needed
- Find security flaws hidden deeply in source code across the software stack
- Manage data loss prevention (DLP)
- Document all security related processes and procedures
Experience:
- Expertise in conducting application security assessments covering threat modeling, design reviews, and in-depth implementation audits
- Solid foundation in application security, web security, penetration testing and cryptography
- Experience implementing monitoring and alerting technologies
- Demonstrated proficiency in software development in C++, C#, JavaScript
- Strong system administration experience (Linux, Windows, Active Directory)
- Experience with log collection infrastructures
- BS in Computer Science or a related technical field / equivalent experience
- 10+ years of industry experience in security and development
Desired Experience:
- Experience administering multiple AWS accounts with multiple VPCs and security groups
- Familiarity with relational and distributed data stores (MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Hadoop).•
