Job Summary: 

As a Influence Marketing Manager you support projects in the areas of influence marketing, social media, and community. You participate in the development of plans for product promotions in support of marketing objectives, events, and ongoing social listening and outreach. You will need exceptional writing, editing, and organizational skills; and thrive in the fast-paced environment of a growing, global high technology company. As an engaged and curious learner, you will utilize your influence marketing background and related experience to positively contribute to and influence the attainment of department's goals and vision. 

Essential Functions: 
- Prepares materials for social media channels including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Slideshare. 
- Contribute to communications projects in the areas of social media; trade shows; and alternative media communications (blogs, podcasts, video). 
- Collateral project management including meeting project schedules, deadlines, gaining approvals, and meeting established budget requirements. 
- Assist in define process for scaling communications globally via social media enablement platforms 
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop collateral materials. 
- Document process against measured benchmarks and maintain metrics dashboards. 
- Assist in listening and responding on social channels. 
- Provide support to the Influence Marketing team as a whole
Requirements: 
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills; especially writing skills. 
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work both independently and on cross functional teams. 
- Experience in the area of communications development across all mediums. 
- Excellent program management ability from working with virtual teams, to documenting progress and communicating results. 
- Ability to influence large teams, negotiate ideas, and drive to quick decisions. 
- Ability to drive design and messaging accurately throughout communications vehicles worldwide. 
- Experience in using tools in the area of social media marketing and measurement. 
- Experience in the technology industry. 
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities. 
- Broad understanding of NetApp's products and services technologies/concepts in a distributed environment. 

Responsibility: 

- The tasks this individual is responsible for are often unstructured, have wide implications and there are multiple outcomes. 
- This individual will apply experience or unique technical/industry knowledge in solving problems that are unique and extremely complex given time, budget and resource constraints. 

Interaction: 

- This individual must work effectively with Staff to Vice President level employees within the function, across functions and with external parties. 
- Some supervision is provided, but this individual should want to operate, drive results, and set priorities independently. 
- The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor, subject matter curious and light saber enthusiast.

Education & Experience: 

- A minimum of 8 years of experience is required; 9 to 11 years of experience is preferred. 
- A Bachelor of Arts of Science Degree is required, or equivalent experience. 
- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects.
