  • Manage our relationships with outside counsel - including partners at Wilson Sonsini and Potomac Law - representing venture, contracts, and higher education law
  • Have a JD degree, be admitted to practice law in Colorado and bring 4-6 years of relevant experience to draw upon as our first internal legal hire

As we move through the hiring process, we’ll prioritize the following:

  • Desire to thrive in a startup where there is frequent change, high pressure and a need to demonstrate and act with a sense of urgency
  • Demonstrated ability to flex your expertise across the diverse legal scenarios you might encounter - sometimes in the course of a single day
  • Ability to balance research, risk and practical applications in partnership with Guild team members or leaders
  • Clear commitment to maintaining exceptional ethical standard and high quality work regardless of the nature of the request
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and problem solving skills
  • Passion for higher education and our mission - Guild is pioneering a new path for education as a benefit in a complicated and regulated space - success means quickly learning the landscape and effectively adapting your expertise

Guild Education believes that a diverse and inclusive team will contribute toward our ability to achieve our mission and will dedicate intentional effort to building a team that reflects that belief.
