Summary/Objective:

This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing growth strategies. You will have the opportunity to significantly contribute to the growth of our business. The position is ultimately responsible for the achievement of account management goals and the negotiation and maintenance of hotel supplier partnerships. You will negotiate discounted rates and commissions with hotel properties on a local, regional, and national level.  You will also directly manage a team of hotel operations coordinators, account managers, and customer support.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee the prospecting, identifying, rate negotiation and closing of new large brand hotel partnerships
  • Build strategic relationships with hoteliers and other vendors
  • Manage the team responsible for securing reservations, processing appropriate forms and payments in a timely manner, and negotiating changes to client agreements.
  • Personally develop strong, long-term relationships and referrals with senior management at targeted accounts and implement strategies for expanding the company’s current customer base.
  • Partners with senior leadership to identify opportunities for internal process optimization.
  • Build a consistent set of KPI’s and other internal intelligence with reporting to provide to the executive team and company as a whole insight into team performance.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Be a role model for the company culture.

 

Competency:

  • At least 4 years people leadership experience in a corporate hotel or OTA environment
  • Proven large scale rate negotiation experience
  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels.
  • Proven ability to establish contacts and relationships with potential customers and partners.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create results driven, team oriented environment.

 

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year college or university; Master’s degree a plus.

 

Additional Eligibility Qualification:

  • Proven track record of negotiating rates
  • Experience working at corporate hotelor OTA

Supervisory Responsibilities:  Team of 7

Travel:  Very minimal travel required
