GL Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring that the accounting for his/her assigned duties is done correctly and timely and that other assigned duties are done with high quality and on-time.

• Month end accounting close duties
  • Analyze and research outstanding liabilities to create month end accruals
  • Obtain support for all Prepayments and Accruals from business owners, FP&A, and Accounts Payable
  • Update and maintain Amortization schedules
  • Prepare and enter journal entries into our SAP accounting system
  • Prepare account reconciliations
  • Fulfill other close requirements, as requested
• Partner with other locations to research and reconcile Intercompany transactions
• Provide analysis of operating results and financial position
• Create and maintain desk procedures for GL processes
• Collaborate with other departments for ongoing process improvement efforts
• Work with internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
• Ad hoc projects as needed and other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Excellent Word and Excel skills
• Excellent organizational and written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of SAP or BPC
• Experience with other large accounting systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to work independently, be a self-starter, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-oriented environment
• CPA is a plus
