Finance Manager
Full-time

Responsibilities:
    • Include, but are not limited to:
Management:
    • Oversee the operations of the accounting/finance department
    • Manage outsourced functions (audit, insurance, payroll, financial due diligence requests)
    • Maintain/help create documented accounting policies and procedures
    • Accounting software projects (fixed assets, purchase order implementation)
Reporting:
    • Maintain/enhance structure of accounting system (account coding/location/line of business structure, report writing structure, ad hoc reporting creation/maintenance)
    • Monthly internal reporting/variance analysis
    • Monthly board of director reporting
    • Review/preparation of monthly closing journal entries
Budget:
    • Assist in preparation and ongoing review of annual budget
    • Assist in preparation of monthly forecast
Financial Analysis:
    • Business finance partnership
    • Engage in ongoing cost reduction in all areas of the business
    • Calculate performance variances and analysis vs budget and prior periods
    • Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for due diligence requests, contract negotiations, and pricing decisions
Compliance:
    • Coordinate provision of information to external auditors for annual audit
    • Prepare/distribute monthly bank compliance certificates and financials
    • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
    • Lead preparation of 1099 tax forms
Required Skills & Qualities:
    • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
    • CPA designation preferred
    • 7+ years accounting/finance/related field experience
    • FP&A experience
    • Proficiency with a mid-market to large ERP strongly preferred (SAP, Oracle, Navision, Dynamics GP, Intacct, etc.)
    • Advanced knowledge of Excel strongly preferred
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP
    • Knowledge of complex technical accounting issues
    • Ability to work independently
    • Ability to manage 5+ direct reports
