Opportunity
This role is for a part MacGyver, part Tony Stark and part B'Elanna Torres (you know the legendary half-Klingon, half-human engineer). For example, if you have turned a piece of copper pipe and an old castor wheel into a steam engine (+1 to one our current team members for doing this) during your spare time, then this is a role you will dig!
From turning wrenches to probing with a multimeter, technicians at n.io must be comfortable getting their hands dirty while troubleshooting on the fly.
Field Technicians at n.io work closely with our diverse portfolio of clients to install and implement n.io and all accompanying hardware. This position requires creative problem solving along with a strong technical and mechanical aptitude as technicians will be charged with bringing n.io to life in physical environments. Travel is required with this position.
Skills Needed
- Previous professional industrial integration experience
- Experience with various industrial mechanisms and sensors (motors, piping, instrumentation, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret P&ID's
- Intermediate understanding of electrical systems, including the use of test equipment
- Intermediate understanding of networking principles and communication protocols
- Solid verbal and written communication skills that includes professional documentation
- Experience working with contractors and maintenance crews
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and practices under OSHA regulation, e.g LOTO
- Bonus points: Experience using python
