As a Product Development Manager, you will lead the design process from collection conception through all stages of development and production and help define the vision for our private label brands.

On any given day, you can find the Fabric Product Development Manager:

  • Sourcing new design talent, establishing relationships with external designers, and evaluating performance of design partners to ensure we have the right partners to support collection needs
  • Preparing development packages/pitch sheets to execute design concepts for each collection with external design partners
  • Evaluating and editing designs submitted by external design partners to ensure they are aligned with the strategic intent for the collection(s)
  • Collaborating with production partners to convert design files into executable print files
  • Reviewing strike offs and lab dips prior to fabric production and top of production samples post production
  • Managing product development timelines and vendor partners to hit aggressive production and product launch dates

  • Proven analytical skills and enthusiasm for incorporating data-driven decision making in the design process
  • Experience performing trend research and applying consumer insights to design strategy
  • Ability to travel internationally and domestically to support the needs of the business

Application elements:
  • Your resume! Share your top accomplishments and academic/professional experience
  • We want to learn more about you – instead of submitting a traditional cover letter, we’d like you to respond to the following questions. We will not consider candidates who submit incomplete applications.
    • What do you think is important to a quilter in regard to fabric design?  How would you approach the development of a 20 SKU collection to meet the needs of a quilter?
    • What do you think the key is to product differentiation in the quilting fabric industry?
