Craftsy’s eCommerce business has experienced massive growth over the last year and is in a position to achieve significant ongoing expansion--both across categories and in revenue--as we head into next year and beyond. We’re looking for multiple entrepreneurial, driven eCommerce Buyers who will take leadership roles on the team in order to drive strategy and growth within their business. We’re looking for Buyers who will be enthusiastic about building their category in order to shape the future of Craftsy’s eCommerce -- this is a role where you’ll face unique challenges, employ creative strategies and clearly see your contribution to one of Colorado and the nation’s fastest growing companies in the industry.

As an eCommerce Buyer on the Craftsy team you will:
  • Take ownership for your category -- develop a vision, seize opportunities and commit to your own and your team’s success
  • Source compelling product assortments for a core eCom category with our passionate customers and sales in mind
  • Initiate, negotiate and sustain strategic vendor partnerships that generate tangible business outcomes
  • Thrive on achievement of your financial goals and the analysis of product, pricing and promotion opportunities that will generate the greatest returns
  • Partner with our Planners to manage and optimize inventory levels 
  • Communicate and work with cross functional teams to build effective merchandising strategies across all distribution channels
  • Cultivate strong relationships both internally with the Craftsy team and with our vendors and partners
  • Enjoy the quantitative side of your role as much as the product side--take the time to analyze the competitive landscape and evaluate benchmarks 
  • Commit to understand and deliver against the details of financial plans and key metrics associated with your category and our eCom business’ success
Your background will likely include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:
  • Depth of knowledge, interest and passion for buying, retail strategy and eCommerce
  • Demonstrated understanding of merchandising financials and the ability to manage profitability
  • Demonstrated experience using data to formulate strategy, make decisions and communicate results
  • A learning mindset - intrinsic motivation and intellectual curiosity 
  • Experience leading, motivating and hiring high performing teams 
  • Several years buying experience in roles with increasing responsibility at a leading retailer or eCommerce company
  • Analytical expertise demonstrated in professional or academic environments
  • Excellent communication skills–writing, editing and presenting in diverse formats as a face and voice of Craftsy
  • Demonstrated results as a proactive problem solver capable of framing/identifying issues and generating solutions
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and work under pressure
