We are currently searching for an Assistant Buyer at our Denver, CO corporate headquarters.  This position requires a highly analytical, self-directed, and motivated team contributor to assist the senior buying team with the development of assortment strategies and overall product execution to drive category specific growth.
 
As an Assistant Buyer you will:
  • Assist category buyer with developing the assortment offering and participate in the development of annual financial plans and monthly forecasting
  • Setup, manage, and maintain high volume sku count to ensure data integrity for order management and reporting
  • Issue purchase orders and negotiate/confirm order quantities and delivery dates with key suppliers
  • Execute pricing changes for multiple pricing tiers, promotional campaigns, and sale periods
  • Assist supply chain and accounts payable teams with inventory management and receipt reconciliation on purchase orders
  • Provide Merchandise Coordinator with product information and key selling points to effectively merchandise product for sale pages
  • Investigate and respond to any product specific customer service inquiries 
  • Analyze consumer insights, customer service issues, sales data and market trends to contribute to the development of a consumer-centric assortment plan
  • Travel to trade shows to support company initiatives and build relationships with key suppliers
Your background will likely include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven analytical skills and enthusiasm for data-driven decision making
  • Proficiency managing large amounts of data and Microsoft Excel (e.g. vlookups, pivot tables, etc)
  • A clear understanding of financial measurements (sales, gross margin, measures of inventory productivity) and how to impact them.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as ability to effectively communicate product attributes to a broad consumer base
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables with strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Prefer a candidate whose resume indicates he/she has excelled amongst an elite peer group
  • Prior eCommerce experience is highly desirable
