We’re looking for a highly analytical, self-directed, and motivated eCommerce Assistant Buyer to assist the senior buying team with the development of assortment strategies and overall product execution to drive category specific growth. 
 
Primary Goals Include:
 
  • Setup, manage, and maintain 2,000 SKUs to ensure data integrity in reporting
  • Execute and manage purchase orders to ensure on time delivery and accurate receiving
  • Assist category buyer with developing the assortment offering and participate in the development of annual financial plans and monthly forecasting
  • Execute pricing changes to support periodic and seasonal promotions
  • Assist supply chain team with inventory management and receipt reconciliation 
 
 
Job Functions Include:
 
  • Issue purchase orders and negotiate / confirm order quantities and delivery dates with key suppliers
  • Manage purchase order delivery dates and inbound shipments to ensure accuracy in forecasted receipt volume 
  • Set up SKUs and analyze SKU activity to ensure data integrity
  • Execute against replenishment strategy for core SKU base to ensure in-stock requirements are met, and sales potential / inventory productivity is maximized 
  • Provide Merchandise Coordinator with product information and key selling points to effectively merchandise product for sale pages
  • Execute price changes for multiple pricing tiers, promotional campaigns and/or seasonal sales
  • Partner with supply chain team on with inventory management issues and receipt reconciliation
  • Investigate and respond to any product specific customer service inquiries 
  • Analyze customer feedback / research and market trends to contribute to the development of a consumer-centric assortment plan
  • Travel to trade shows to support company initiatives and build relationships with key suppliers
 
Other qualifications:
 
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven analytical skills and enthusiasm for data-driven decision making
  • Proficiency managing large amounts of data and Microsoft Excel (e.g. vlookups, pivot tables, etc)
  • A clear understanding of financial measurements (sales, gross margin, measures of inventory productivity) and how to impact them.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as ability to effectively communicate product attributes to a broad consumer base
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables with strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Prefer a candidate whose resume indicates he/she has excelled amongst an elite peer group.
  • Prior eCommerce experience is highly desirable
