 Position Requirements:
  • Experience building and leading DevOps technology teams
  • Experience developing processes that automate the movement of a software product through a development lifecycle in an incremental and repeatable manner
  • Experience driving progress towards a model of continuous deployment
  • Coordinates all release items via strategic and tactical planning – Code or otherwise
  • Grows staff and manages a DevOps function that works with the engineering teams to enable the continued accelerated development, release and operation of the company’s technology products and services.
  • Ensures capacity planning and continual performance improvement of technologies and infrastructure that support code build and deployment.
  • Currently utilizing an automation tool like Chef / Puppet / Ansible / PowerShell DSC
  • Experience with automation/orchestration tool evaluation and selection
  • Experience working within .NET Microsoft stack
  • Writing custom puppet manifest, chef cookbooks, or Ansible playbooks
  • Scripting Languages:
    • PowerShell (strong)
    • Python
    • PERL

Responsibilities:

  • Drives process to build sustainable and scalable environment solutions to support a DevOps process and continuous deployment model.
  • Delivers stable, healthy infrastructure to operations teams and facilitates knowledge transfer by providing comprehensive and detailed design documentation, infrastructure readiness documentation, and acceptance checklists.
  • Maintains enterprise infrastructure by providing troubleshooting, administration, performance monitoring and optimization, as well as capacity and continuity planning
  • Drives continuity between environments to increase test validity
  • Develops roadmap to deliver ongoing improvements to Customer facing environment(s)
  • Participates in the planning, testing, and execution of Disaster Recovery (DR) initiatives.
  • Assists with IT Audits and with review, planning, and deployment of security measures to make sure IT infrastructure is in compliance with required controls and patches

Our ideal candidate has these skills:

  • Experience with leading Configuration Management, DevOps, and software deployment
  • VSTS, Jenkins, Maven, Git for a continuous integration experience
  • Experience with shell scripting
  • Strong background in Windows Server administration
  • Good knowledge with TFS/build definitions, system configuration, manifest deployments, complex resource dependencies, compilation into catalogs for distribution to target systems/servers
  • Good understanding of Continuous Integration, Continous Delivery and Agile Methodologies
  • Strong experience with SaaS architecture
  • Experience with Azure and VMM/Hyper-V server deployment and management experience
  • Microsoft SQL Server installation and configuration management experience
  • BS or above in Computer Science or equivalent education-experience
  • 10+ years of experience in software development with strong customer focus
