The Digital Media Lead is responsible for ensuring that media plans are successfully translated and implemented into effective media campaigns. This role is responsible for managing campaigns at a senior level and managing their teams to ensure the highest level of satisfaction from clients. This role combines technical skills and analytical skills with account management.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

·       Be familiar/expert in a few, if not all, media software such as DoubleClick Campaign Manager (DCM), DoubleClick Search, Adwords, Facebook Business Manager, Google Tag Manager, and/or Google Analytics (or similar) 

·       Be responsible for supervising a team of subject matter digital experts (media managers), data scientists, and media designers (account managers), and associate-level designers and managers to ensure that buys drive results from set-up, to optimizations, to reporting and insights, as well as client relationship/account health

·       Demonstrate strong technical knowledge to answer client questions and act as a liaison with the buying team.

·       Nimbly derive trends and insights from recent performance and optimize campaigns for maximal impact.

·       Develop hypotheses and structure analyses to produce data-driven insights that promote meaningful decision-making and have a tangible impact on our KPI's.

·       Craft clear, impactful communications and presentations that are tailored to the audience and tell a coherent story.

·       Be a self-starter who takes initiative to diagnose, escalate, and address key opportunities and issues as they arise.

·       Manage complex, often ambiguous, problems and projects in a thoughtful, structured, and efficient way that begins with the end in mind.

·       Be able to execute buys in any of our social, search, or display platforms when needed.

·       Be accountable for accuracy and quality of executed media.

·       Maintain a high standard of quality for reporting and campaign delivery.

·       Ensure the correct processes are followed by the team and develop/enhance procedures as needed.

·       Understand and challenge media conventions.

·       Supervise and develop the expertise of the Media Manager in his/her ability to setup and traffic campaigns across display, social and search tactics.

·       Supervise and develop the relationship skills of the Media Designer in his/her ability to manage the day-to-day account and client relationship.

·       Proactively seek out opportunities for clients and the company.

·       Assist on new business pitches.


DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Your background and experience will likely include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum 4-8 years of demonstrated experience establishing and managing digital marketing campaigns.

- Familiar/expert in most, if not all, tools such as DoubleClick Campaign Manager, DoubleClick Bid Manager, Google Adwords, Facebook for Business & Facebook Power Editor, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager.

- Proven ability to provide detailed analysis of large amounts of data and translate it into insights and/or decisions that produced measurable and meaningful outcomes.

- Frequent application of advanced Excel skills, both functions and modeling.

- Experience conducting deep quantitative and qualitative financial and/or data analysis

- Demonstration of well-honed critical thinking skills and the ability to deconstruct problems into discrete, logical components.

- Concise and impactful written/verbal communication skills and the ability to develop and deliver presentations to executive and senior leaders.

- Demonstrated resourcefulness, initiative, and the ability to deliver in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and fluid team environment.

- Capacity to work well independently, function with incomplete information, and adapt when the variables shift.

- Strong soft skills, particularly a proven ability to build relationships and manage by influence.

- Ability to manage a variety of concurrent projects independently with a high degree of organization.

- Be responsible for overseeing all details of media buys, reports, and other projects and ensuring deliverables are of the highest caliber and free of errors.

- Leadership and management of cross-functional efforts from idea to completion.

- A proven track record of quantitative skills, including financial modeling, data analysis, algebraic functions or business statistics.

- Able to see the big picture and at the same time pay relentless attention to detail.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Familiarity with or proficiency in Datorama and/or Tableau is a plus.

- Familiarity with CRM, HTML/CSS, MailChimp, SEO, affiliate management, coding, lead generation are all pluses.

- Demonstrated experience with and ability to evaluate traditional advertising tactics (radio, TV, out-of-home, print).

- Familiarity with additional media software such as SQAD, STRATA, Nielsen, MRI.

- Proficiency in Mac applications, especially Keynote.

- Experience with both direct response and branding campaigns, skewing heavier toward DR.

- Technical prowess and curiosity.

- Direct Report management experience.

- Media planning for integrated campaigns and media buying with accounts with large budget levels.
