The Digital Marketing Specialist is 'everything digital and design', from social media to basic or skilled graphic design. Colorado Technology Association welcomes additional digital marketing skills you can bring to the table or hungry to learn. We are excited about the tech community and hope you are, too! While we are not a start-up, we are fast-paced, collaborative and love new ideas, just like a start-up. 

The Digital Marketing Specialist will develop and execute digital marketing strategies for Colorado Technology Association. This position will report to the Director of Marketing and Events, but work independently, and collaborate with the Marketing and Events team. 

The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for numerous facets of the strategic marketing plan including graphic design, social media, and assist with website development and content management. This position works cross-functionally to create a one of a kind brand experience for internal and external audiences. 

Social Media
Creates a comprehensive social media strategy and define programs that use social media marketing techniques in order to increase visibility and brand awareness (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.)

  • Collect and organize social media metrics, with goals to increase engagement
  • Create and execute an unbiased social brand and voice on behalf of the organization through social media
  • Support Membership and Sponsorship team and programming team (advocacy, economic development, talent) on ways to increase awareness and opportunities
  • Keep up with trends and ways to increase engagement and awareness through social media efforts 
  • Web Content Management
  • Ability to perform content management through WordPress; proficiency a plus 
  • Assist in organization and event website updates as needed
Graphic Design
  • Graphic design skills to create and package event programs, one-sheets, web graphics, e-mail marketing, invitations, etc. 
  • Manage editing and content collection for various projects 
  • Execute design for collateral materials (i.e. membership, etc.) with an eye for creativity for collateral materials 
  • Create digital and print advertising, with an understanding of design requirements 
  • Arrange all printing logistics for timely delivery of event collateral and on-going collateral needs
Branding

  • Helps plan and execute the brand strategy and guidelines for the organization and signature events, including correct logo usage, color palettes, font package, etc. 
  • Develop plan to engage staff in branding efforts, i.e. email signatures 
  • Assist in execution of email campaigns, monthly email newsletters and lead best practice in email marketing, analytics, and development 
  • Design and catalog email templates on an as needed basis 
  • Assist in email marketing efforts including content, email creation, and delivery
  • Work with team on tracking email marketing metrics
Other

  • Assist in building out marketing calendar with digital and social media campaigns, and make recommendations on when/how to calendar outreach (emails and social media) 
  • Organize and catalog all digital assets, i.e. logos, photos, videos, etc.  
  • Work with Marketing and Events team, with ability to support where needed
  • Experience with Google Adwords, SEO, or SEM a plus 
  • Work with Marketing and Events team, with ability to support where needed
  • Work with Foundation and Membership departments to understand and implement digital marketing needs 
  • Ability to research and make recommendations on vendors 
  • Well organized with ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment with
  • Attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Ability to solve problems and make suggestions  
  • Multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively 
  • Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, Internet-savvy
