ThinkTank’s digital engagement platform is a microservices architecture that runs in AWS.  We do continuous integration, and we're working toward continuous testing and deployment- but we're not there yet.

WHAT WE’RE DOING

We're currently building a highly scalable next-gen platform from the ground up, using new (and sometimes cutting edge) technologies- but our product ideas are based on our existing product, as well as feedback from our current customers.  We've got an existing product that's been on the market for several years that we're re-imagining and re-implementing.

WHERE YOU FIT IN

In this role, you will have the opportunity to build and shape the DevOps group inside of ThinkTank.  The DevOps Manager is responsible for managing a team of Development Operations (DevOps) Engineers who are responsible for supporting production systems, monitoring, logging, security, availability, recoverability, and reporting.

ABOUT YOU

You are an experienced leader that has successfully managed a DevOps or IT team.  You will have a proven track record for leveraging your knowledge and experience in supporting and maintaining cloud-based architectures.  You like to focus on teaching and/or mentoring, along with managing the daily workflow and tasks of the DevOps team.  You lead by example and remain very hands-on.

REQUIREMENTS

Full-time position in Denver, CO

5+ years of experience in a leadership role

Strong background with AWS cloud technologies

Solid understanding of networking and Linux operating systems

Experience scripting automation with puppet, chef, ansible, salt, or other

Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization

Docker or container experience (bonus)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the DevOps team and drive improvements in team efficiency and velocity

Maintain security and privacy of cloud environments

Set up and tune monitoring to effectively detect/predict/prevent issues in production environment

Communicate needs and update executives on progress regularly

Researches and makes recommendations on hardware and software purchases

Complete reviews and goal setting for the member of the DevOps team

Assist with accreditation documentation and processes
