Desktop Support Technician

As an IT Support Technician, you will be the primary point of contact for all local and remote IT needs. This ranges from supporting software and hardware issues to maintaining our local and cloud networks. This role comes with a great deal of autonomy; the expectation is that you’re a self-motivated professional that’s eager to help others while developing your own technical skills. Specific responsibilities and traits include:

- Assure continuity of the systems for all users while helping with any software/hardware issues that may arise
- Be able to run and clear the queue of our ticketing system
- Clear and concise communication with the IT team and local users
- Bring new ideas to the table that you want to take ownership of
- Excellent customer support skills & experience
- Be reliable and on time
- Stay in touch with the latest developments in IT
- Be willing and able to understand when work outside of business hours is needed, and execute
- Meets physical demands of the position including the ability to lift and handle up to 45 pounds of materials, bend, stoop and stretch as required for placement and retrieval of materials or equipment on shelving
- Coworkers love you! Being personable and understanding of non-techies is important.
- 2+ years of experience providing network and technology support for a SaaS startup highly desired
- Zendesk or similar ticketing system experience a plus
- Sonicwall/VPN administration experience highly desired
- Technical training, education, or equivalent experience in the field
- Must be able to execute network and cloud based application administration
- G-Suite/Google Apps experience a plus
- Must be able to perform Windows and Mac OS imaging, support, and maintenance
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to the needs of a startup environment
