We wanted to think of a title to describe how much fun you’ll actually have doing this job.  “Desktop Support Analyst” is a little tired and stuffy.  “IT Superhero” probably better describes how you’ll feel working at a place where your co workers shower you with gratitude for all the awesome things you do for them.  SendGrid is not your typical software company, and “desktop support” isn’t all you’ll be called upon to do here.

What You’ll Do

Front-line IT support – regular IT stuff, but in an environment where you might be enjoying a beer or glass of wine with the person you’re helping.  Problem solved? Cheers!

  • Inventory management
  • Imaging new computers
  • Weekly onboarding of new employees (pretty much weekly, yes) – like Santa every week!
  • Traveling around Denver and Boulder to accomplish out of office tasks
  • Helping the team set up conference rooms, desks, etc
  • Helping the team finish cool projects
  • Setting up videoconferencing equipment – ensuring that our employees can reliably connect around the country & around the globe
  • Answering Tier 1 HelpDesk tickets
  • Occasional night/weekend work- not often, but sometimes we need to be working when nobody else is in the office.

About You

  • You genuinely want to help people be awesome at their jobs by getting the technology out of the way
  • You have a collaborative spirit and don’t want to just hide in the IT room - which is good, because we don’t have one
  • You’re able to say “I don’t know – let me get back to you” and won’t bluff your way into making things worse
  • Communication is key in this role. You need to be able to speak and write in a manner that will convey your thoughts and actions to your audience – your fellow SendGrid employees
  • We’re pretty much a Mac shop, but having a grasp of the 3 major OS’s & mobile devices is a Very Good Thing
  • Ability to commute back and forth from Denver and Boulder offices, as well as travel to our Orange County office
  • We wear many hats, and you should be comfortable doing the same
  • Knowledge of the following is a must: Google Apps, Mac OS X, Windows, basic computer troubleshooting, cabling
  • Experience with the following would be a plus: Basic Networking Knowledge, Shoretel, Meraki, Linux, JSS Casper, LifeSize, RADIUS, and LDAP.

So – are you friendly? Can you help us help our fellow co-workers? If you answered yes to both questions and want to take the next step in the “choose your own adventure” story of your life, apply and tell us about yourself, and why we’d want you to help us help…us.
