As a Data Analyst, you are independent, self-motivated, well-organized, and an excellent analytic problem solver. You are collaborative and eager to work in a team environment; therefore, as an integral member of our team you will deliver exceptional analytical output to support key product offerings and drive new deliverable development. This exciting opportunity serves as a key position in the expanding Data Science Department with goals of enhancing Healthgrades capabilities and opportunities.
 
The Data Analyst position is ideal for a self-motivated individual that is passionate about data and has a minimum 2 years of experience with tag analyzing, reporting and interpreting complex data.  If this sounds like you, then we'd love to have you join the Healthgrades Team.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong SQL experience
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to review complex data, draw conclusions and make recommendations
  • Understanding of relational databases
  • Proficiency with Excel and VBA is desirable
  • Experience with web analytics preferred
  • Some experience with SSRS, including the ability to build stored procedures, views and scheduled processes is preferred
  • Familiarity with the Federal Healthcare System and/or physicians, hospital systems or healthcare environments preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform Ad-hoc analysis and research in support of new business opportunities and client needs
  • Perform in-depth analysis of new and existing data elements and sources and summarizes the results of your analysis to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Create re-usable queries in support of data investigations and train specialists on the use of those queries
  • Act as the subject matter expert on data (individual providers, healthcare institutions & ancillary) and collaborate with Product teams how data can and cannot be leveraged in consumer settings
  • Build stored procedures, views and scheduled processes to support reporting platforms such as Tableau and Excel
  • Build automated dashboards and reporting tools using Excel, Tableau and SSRS
  • Define and implement testing for accuracy metrics for new and existing data sources and data elements
