The Opportunity

As an Accounting Support Specialist you will provide support and advice to clients with regard to the use of the Xero system. You must have a thorough understanding of accounting practices in order to advise customers on the use of Xero in their environment. The Customer Experience Team is a growing team who must work well together, as well as interfacing with the Product, API, Billing, Sales and Documentation teams. As the numbers of customers grow, so too will the number of queries, and this position requires a professional, friendly and effective manner at all times.

What you’ll do

-Provide World Class Service to Xero customers.

-Assist with the setup and use of Xero software for small businesses and accounting partners.

-Investigate and resolve customer issues using a wide range of tools and methods.

-Troubleshoot errors and help resolve difficult questions.

-Make outbound calls to customers when the resolution would be easier over the phone.

-Work closely with other teams in Customer Experience to provide a seamless support experience to our customers.

-Stay current on all product releases and training for an ever-growing product.

At a minimum, you should have:

  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • HIGH energy and enthusiasm about life!
  • Mature and passionate approach to doing great work
  • Accounting knowledgepreferably a formal accounting qualification
  • Diligence and commitment to following through and resolving problems
  • Initiative and ability to self-manage,along with flexibility
  • Confidence with Microsoft Excel, Word and some experience with other small business accounting systems
  • Ability to build effective relationships
  • An affinity for being a team player who pro-actively assists other team members
