The Opportunity
Xero is growing their US Sales organization and this is a very exciting time to join the team! As a Customer On-boarding Specialist, you'll be the face of Xero to our clients as they join our accounting platform.
What you'll do
- Contact Xero subscribers who purchased from our online channel
- Perform an initial setup call, which outlines the setup process and where to find training and support resources
- Provide ongoing feedback to the on-boarding team lead and department head on ways to improve client on-boarding success
- Understand competing accounting software and have the ability to position Xero against them.
- Understand key Xero add-ons and work with sales team to recommend appropriate add-ons to enhance the Xero software functionality.

At a minimum, you should have:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Passion for delivering amazing customer experiences
- A willingness to go the extra mile to help start our client organizations' success
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional presentation, Excellent verbal and written communication and people skills, plus the ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to problem-solve and work independently in a changing and multi-tasking environment with numerous deadlines.
- A positive, friendly 'can do' attitude
- Attention to detail and follow-up
- Proven experience and a passion for working with small business owners
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
Bonus points if you have:
- Xero Intel - Xero product knowledge a must for product uses, features and Add ons - having the ability to teach the product.
- SMB Knowledge - Understanding business needs within vertical's - ability to ask questions to find full solution.
