Company Description:

Knotty Tie Co. is a rapidly growing custom apparel company, changing the way apparel is created with highly personalized design services and ethical manufacturing. Customers work one one-on-one with our designers to design a product, and we manufacture every item on demand, with the highest regard for people and the environment.

As a social enterprise, our business drives our mission to provide meaningful employment opportunities for resettled refugees in our community. Approximately 1,500 refugees are resettled in Colorado each year, many of whom face barriers to employment and struggle to find reliable, flexible and dignified employment.

Our environment is often challenging and ever-changing. For those who accept the challenge and work well managing change, opportunities will be available to expand your skill set, take on higher responsibilities, and lead teams.

Position Description:

As a Custom Designer joining the sales and service team, you will be responsible for creating designs to meet the unique needs of our clients. You will work with customers from the initial inquiry, through the entire design and sales process, and post-purchase. It’s your job to ensure an easy, fast and fun experience for our clients.

Success in this role is highly dependent upon your ability to effectively communicate with customers face-to-face, over the phone, and via email. You will need to manage the customer’s experience and expectations, while understanding and working within the limitations of the design, manufacturing and sales process.

You will also be assisting both the production and marketing team. Production responsibilities may include reviewing print quality, cutting and processing fabric for production, and preparing packaging and shipping materials. Marketing tasks include social media and blog content creation, website maintenance, and administrative tasks as needed.

As part of the Knotty Tie team, you will be joining a multicultural and meaningful community of hard-working individuals dedicated to our social mission of employing resettled refugees. We are a small but growing team who share responsibility in new and developing projects and ideas. Your individual skills and expertise will be essential for our growth as a team.
