SendGrid is looking for a creative and self-motivated intern to join the Corporate Marketing Design team as a summer intern. You must be a strong designer that’s well versed in all things Adobe. You will support Corporate Marketing on a wide variety of projects, ranging from traditional print design to digital projects, booth designs, and even video projects plus much more. The team is small and scrappy so you’ll step right in and make an immediate impact. Your work will be used both internally and externally.

As part of the summer internship program, you’ll benefit from all of the exciting perks that come with being part of a fast-growing company. And as part of the Corporate Marketing Design team, you’ll leave here with a broad set of projects to add to your portfolio.

This is a paid internship beginning in the summer of 2017.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and produce compelling, on brand design content from concept through delivery
  • Collaborate across departments to create touchpoints and collateral for a variety of applications – internal, external, social etc.
  • You will be responsible for helping our Manager of Creative and Video Producer with sales collateral, trade show booth designs, and a variety of other graphic assets
  • Work closely with others in the marketing department to schedule and plan design needs
  • Think outside the box to create relevant, on trend design work
  • Enforce and integrate SendGrid style guide criteria into every project
  • Creation of display and retargeting ads
  • Collaborate on outdoor advertisements
  • Consult with internal stakeholders in various departments to ensure clear direction and expectation for graphic deliverables
  • Demonstrate expertise of design technology, and industry trends.

About You

  • Expertise in using the Adobe Creative Suite. Must have good working knowledge of Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. Intermediate understanding of Adobe Premier and After Effects would be ideal Experience working with Sketch is a plus.
  • Ability to concept projects from start to finish
  • You live and breath all things design
  • Constantly keeping tabs on what’s happening in the design world
  • Must have online portfolio to be considered
  • Any prior real-world experience is a plus
  • Good understanding of typography, layout, and production design
  • Ability to manage and execute multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Ability to organize time and meet deadlines, manage workflow and prioritize effectively
  • Detailed. You must be able to keep track of the tasks you’re asked to complete.
  • Collaborative. You must be highly engaged with stakeholders and be open to their feedback and ideas.
  • Focused and self-motivated.
