We are currently seeking a Corporate Development leader to add to our dynamic team. This full-time position will be based in our Denver, CO headquarters and will support mergers and acquisitions, corporate strategy, and growth. This role will be at the forefront of our M&A, investments, and funding strategic activities. The successful candidate is particularly ambitious with proven experience in financial analysis, research of global markets, and transaction strategy development and execution within an international business environment. This position reports to the CEO.
Velocity Global is a high-growth company that is creating an entirely new category and led by a veteran team in this unique industry space. Candidates should relish the fast pace of a scale-up environment and embrace the opportunity to navigate challenges. This individual will report to the CEO and will work closely with all sides of the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate acquisition, partnership and investment opportunities with a bias towards actionable intelligence and/or results
- Lead development of overall corporate strategic funding, as well as project-specific strategy to support business and investment decision making
- Develop a strong understanding of Velocity Global’s company operations to leverage in analysis of growth, competitors and industry prospects
- Strategize at both the macro level, as well as more tactical outcomes
- Build consensus among cross-functional teams and influence decision making within senior-level audiences
- Lead due diligence process for acquisitions and strategic partnerships including financial analysis
- Summarize key insights and present business case for internal decision making and strategy planning
- Prepare valuation model and participate in deal negotiation
- Create and execute on integration plans and schedules
- Develop and maintain competency in the area of international employment

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience such as corporate development, financial services, corporate finance, and/or investment banking
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Mathematics. MBA preferred. Or equivalent experience
- Experience with international transactions is a requirement
- Strong capabilities with regards to deal negotiations and exceptional research skills
- Adept analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly assimilate information; with operations across 180+ countries there is a lot to learn
- Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication, listening and consultative skills. We are looking for someone who finds tremendous satisfaction in everything from a well-crafted email to a dynamite presentation.
- Technology literate, including Microsoft Office suite
- Strong project management style
