HomeAdvisor, a subsidiary of IAC, is an innovative internet company that helps homeowners improve their homes and contractors grow their businesses. Our PR/Communications team handles not only our press releases and media relations, but also own all of our social media relationships, helping to build our brand and reputation.

As an intern with this team, you'll work with our Digital Manager to oversee our social media communities on Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, YouTube, and our blog. You'll have the opportunity to assist in a major research project and publication, work on a video shoot, and learn how to utilize platforms such as WordPress and Hootsuite.

The ideal candidate will understand the mechanics of managing social media communities, has basic understanding of content calendars and content scheduling, and is working toward a degree in Public Relations, Communications, and/or Marketing. Additionally, we'll be looking for these qualifications:
- Active participation in the social media world, and interest in learning about corporate social media interactions;
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with a high degree of accuracy and detail;
- Excellent organizational skills and project management skills;
- The ability to work independently with direction;
- Any experience with HTML, graphics editing, WordPress, or other web design/development tools is a big plus.

This paid internship is expected to last through the summer (approximately 10 weeks), and will likely require 30-40 hours of work per week.
