Collection Planning Analyst
- The Collection Planning Analyst is a team member in the Supply Chain Management organization located in Longmont, Colorado. The Collection Planning Analyst manages satellite collection objectives that support existing and potential requirements for DigitalGlobe’s customers using a variety of technical systems, business intelligence, weather and climate data, and collaboration with internal and external customers. Independent judgment and the ability to dynamically balance competing resources are critical to accomplishing daily tasks. The role is responsible for aiding in the development, executing, and sustaining DigitalGlobe’s collection strategy.
Monitoring and managing collection performance with satellite scheduling software and
additional tools including GIS systems
Providing satellite feasibility and supporting capacity analysis for internal and external
collection requests
Providing effective communication with internal team members and customers regarding
status, milestones, issues and resolution
Escalating operational issues as needed with team management and technical support teams
Providing occasional support outside of regular shifts as required to support a 24/7
Operations environment
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- Previous experience working with satellite planning systems and related processes, ArcMap or other GIS applications
- Ability to hold and maintain a US Government clearance at Secret or higher

- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with remote sensing products and applications
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux environments
