- Collaborate on and develop data architecture strategy/roadmap and overall design of cloud application
- Architect and develop highly available, scalable data solutions that are cost efficient
- Lead and mentor on architecture, design, and development of data solutions
- Analyze complex systems to determine performance bottlenecks, application bugs, and opportunities to improve efficiency
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience architecting highly available (> 99.9%) databases for web applications with 1000’s of users
- Strong understanding of best practices and patterns for cloud data architecture and technologies (NoSQL, high availability)
- Strong Microsoft expertise. We use C#, SQL, Cassandra, Couchbase, RabbitMQ.
- Embrace agile software development
- Ability to build relationships and motivate cross functional teams to achieve results
Bonus Points:
- 2+ years of experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform
- A polyglot engineer, experimenting with different tools and technologies (Hadoop, Scala, R, etc)
