OnDeck is seeking a Small Business Credit Advisor/Client Support Representative in our Denver, CO office to be a jack of all trades! This is a hybrid role, seamlessly transitioning between the Small Business Credit Advisor and our Customer Support team depending on need and workload. As the Small Business Credit Advisor you will assist and counsel our customers with specialized concierge services by providing relevant research and guidance as they move through the Underwriting process. We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of the theories, principles, issues, techniques, and forms that are applicable to credit and financial counseling. When the role switches to our Customer Support Team you will provide solutions using phone, email, and LiveChat to assist our Sales team, Partners, Customers (loan holders), potential customers, Credit Analysts, Underwriting team, Closing team, and Finance teams.

Your actions and interventions impact the organization and the customer’s future interactions. This is a position within the company that impacts every department, a role in which they will learn about the entire operation and all products and services.

In this role as a Small Business Credit Advisor and Customer Support Representative, you will:

  • Advise our Loan Specialists, Customers, and members of our Funding Advisor Program so they can close more loans
  • Provide assistance and support to our customers as they work to fulfill our Closing conditions such as filing their business information with their local Secretary of State
  • Work with customers to research liens, judgments, and other derogatory items on their credit reports, applying available solutions, and following up on behalf of customers as needed with various agencies
  • Motivate and follow up with customers to see if they have completed action items for eligibility for funding
  • Handle multiple incoming requests through LiveChat, phone, and email and provide in-depth, knowledgeable answers
  • Identify and solve potential and current problems by analyzing information and data across multiple databases

Qualifications for success:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You have a positive attitude, are team oriented, social, and fun to work with
  • Feels empowered to help solve escalated issues. Works towards making a wrong a right
  • You are technically minded and love keeping up with the latest technology
  • You are flexible and adaptable to change
  • You are able to multitask at a very high level and maintain multiple deadlines
  • You have proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience using Salesforce is a plus
  • Banking/finance experience is a plus; retail background may be acceptable
