Business Development Representative

 

Description:

The Business Development Representative (BDR) will work with our sales and marketing teams to develop target opportunities for AlchemyIoT by utilizing cold-calling & email marketing to contact and qualify leads to the point of handoff to the senior sales team.

 

Duties:

  • Prospect into multiple organizations utilizing cold-calling, email marketing and social media

  • Qualify all sales leads based upon specific lead qualification criteria

  • Articulate the company’s value proposition to decision-makers across multiple industries to assess buying interest

  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and the AlchemyIoT senior sales team

  • Achieve or exceed goals for touchpoints, qualifications and prospecting meetings on a monthly basis.

  • Participate in sales meetings, local trade shows and vendor training in order to maintain knowledge of current technology

  • Update lead rankings and stage in Salesforce.com

  • Stay up-to-date on the company and technology to clearly articulate capabilities and advantages to potential customers

  • Provide weekly activity report to management

 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, and:

  • 3+ years business experience, ideally in sales or similar role

  • Ability to understand and successfully promote technical solutions

  • Excellent communication skills in writing, speaking, listening and cold-calling

  • Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial, start-up environment

  • Experience in Salesforce.com a plus

  • Comfortable working with the Google suite of products: Google Docs, Sheets, etc.

  • Hands on experience with multiple sales techniques, including high-volume outbound sales calls and emails

  • Comfortable communicating across a variety of media including phone calls, face-to-face meetings, google hangouts, etc.

  • General knowledge of the IT, Cloud Storage, and SAAS Software Industry.

  • Sales training courses in either direct sales or lead generation is helpful.

  • Ability to contact vertical industry prospects through the use of industry prospects through the use of industry data and business research.
