Business Development Manager
SendGrid seeks a Business Development Manager to grow and manage our partner ecosystem. This role will be responsible for the development, growth and revenue contribution of our go-to-market strategy with SendGrid’s distribution partners in the cloud technology space (IaaS, PaaS, MBaaS, etc.). This is a great opportunity to join SendGrid’s nimble Business Development team in a highly strategic and visible role within the company.
What You’ll Do
Cultivate, manage and grow relationships with new and existing reseller partners
Drive business opportunities in conjunction with our partners that lead to revenue and customer acquisition for SendGrid
Develop a deep understanding of partner organizations, technologies and strategies, and map key areas of opportunity relative to SendGrid objectives
Establish personal relationships with key personnel at partner organizations
Work closely with SendGrid’s functional and executive teams to create all necessary connections and relationships within partner organizations
Develop our go-to-market strategy and manage our joint marketing and selling efforts with partners
Facilitate and execute collaborative sales efforts, presentations, marketing activities, and training with partner sales and technical organizations
Work closely with SendGrid’s BD and marketing teams to develop presentation materials, marketing documentation and training collateral in support of these partnerships
About You
4+ years in-depth experience in sales, business development, or alliances for technology companies
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure technologies and landscape (Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, etc.) is a major plus
Familiarity with SMTP, DNS and API’s is a major plus
Ability to convey business and technical value of SendGrid’s product
Strong networking and communication skills
Passionate about developing strategic relationships
Ability to manage and execute on multiple partnership engagements simultaneously
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
4 year degree
Ability to travel up to 25%
