The manager of Business Development is responsible for ensuring our sales development and qualification team leads our growth and scale. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of leading through continual change to deliver on aggressive growth targets. The role will report to the Sr. Marketing Operations Manager and will be based in Denver Colorado.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Align the planning and execution of all prospecting activities for leads, contacts and accounts to the overall corporate customer acquisition strategy.
  • Enable our team of Business Development Representatives by executing an end-to-end training and enablement process on inbound and outbound sales methodologies.
  • Lead and inspire team through ongoing coaching and mentoring, and holding them accountable to personal and team metrics/goals.
  • Monitor daily activities to ensure team is meeting and/or exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual goals
  • Lead team with innovative and forward-thinking sales methodologies, such as managing campaigns through an inbound and outbound team model
  • Advocate for leveraging the marketing team throughout the sales funnel (i.e. automated drip/nurture tracks, utilizing marketing assets in sales outreach, etc.)
  • Proven track record of hitting and exceeding demo and pipeline creation goals
  • Development of dashboards and reports to increase visibility and track success
  • Deliver Marketing, Sales and BDR alignment with initiatives and processes that support strong lead management, lead quantity, qualification and handoffs as well as enhanced data quality
  • Ensure that people, process and tools are optimally aligned and integrated to achieve superior results, and provide visibility and insights on results to executive team
  • Coordinate sales development efforts within the organization: ensure consistent and constant communication across departments
  • Work in tandem with Marketing to coordinate fully integrated demand generation campaigns and follow up tactics
  • Manage and maintain compensation structure
  • Lead weekly team meetings and 1:1’s with the BDR team

Job Requirements:

  • At least four years of experience in the B2B space in sales operations, sales development and/or marketing operations. Experience in a B2B sales leadership team is a plus.
  • Proven track record of leading teams to deliver on aggressive sales pipeline targets.
  • Familiarity with lead scoring and lead management methodologies.
  • Managed a team with inbound and outbound alignment and focus
  • Highly analytical and metrics driven, with a desire to launch, learn, and iterate to continually improve process.
  • Proficiency with customer relationship management platforms, sales tools (i.e. salesforce.com, HubSpot, ToutApp etc), and familiarity with marketing automation platforms (i.e. Hubspot, Eloqua, Marketo, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication, project management, analysis and leadership skills.
  • Consistently pulling reports, creating dashboards and capturing and sharing insights from data to enhance performance and improve metrics.

Education and Experience:

  • 4-year college Degree.
  • Consistently in Top 5% of sales performers in previous positions.
  • Successful track record of prospecting into the Global 2000.
  • 3+ years’ experience using a CRM and marketing automation.
  • Start-up experience.
