As a Business Analyst at Green Chef, you will be part of an elite team that advises key stakeholders across the company on important decisions.  You will work closely with product, marketing, operations and R&D to gain a deep understanding of the business.  Armed with that understanding, you will flex your creative muscles and explore data to uncover insights that will drive better customer experience and operational efficiency.  Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem solving skills as well as a deeply rooted passion for learning.  He/she takes full ownership of projects and enjoys the challenge of navigating a fast-paced start-up environment. 

Responsibilities
    • Lead analytical projects that result in actionable insights and recommendations by working closely with cross-functional stakeholders and operating with little guidance or supervision.
    • Actively participate in brainstorming sessions around product and operational strategy with a strong analytical perspective.
    • Partner with various teams to develop, refine and automate the business’s core forecasting models.
    • Communicate forecast updates to the operations team as needed for production and inventory planning. 
    • Provide thought leadership around data analysis best practices and data-driven decision-making.
    • Identify key data that is missing or incorrect and work with engineering and other functions to surface/fix in our data warehouse.  
Requirements
    • Bachelors in a quantitative field, e.g Stats, Math, Econometrics or Finance
    • Consumer product analytics experience
    • 2+ years experience working with relational databases using SQL, R and/or Python
    • Ability to navigate large complex datasets and extract insights
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment
    • Self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and enjoys problem solving
    • Intellectual curiosity

    • Business/operations forecasting experience
    • Statistical modeling experience
    • Food industry experience
    • Experience working with AWS / Redshift
