Guild is reinventing the Education Benefits category - bringing innovation to the tuition reimbursement software and corporate training programs of the Fortune 1000, helping thousands of working adults go back to school and improve their lives. Think Workday or Taleo for Corporate Education Benefits - a $17B market that’s ripe for disruption.

Guild’s education benefits software platform makes offering education as a benefit an easy choice for F1000 companies, with products and features that helps HR leaders turn their education cost centers into a positive ROI. Meanwhile, Guild’s network of online, nonprofit universities and learning providers offer a consortium of classes, programs, and college degrees, along with college advising and retention coaching, helping each student navigate the worlds of work and college.

We are a mission driven, double-bottom-line company. In late 2016, we closed a $8.5M Series A from top tier investors including Redpoint Ventures, Social Capital, Harrison Metal, and Cowboy Ventures and have expanded from our founding team to more than 50 employees. Our clients include Chipotle Mexican Grill, DaVita Healthcare Partners, HealthOne / Hospital Corp of America, Taco Bell, Denver Public School District, Public Service Credit Union, and we’re in talks with 20 additional Fortune 1000s. Now we’re ready to expand our Admissions team.

The mission of our Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) Admissions Advisors (AAs) is to:

...guide students as they explore classes, programs and degrees in order to make thoughtful decisions about the next step in their educational journey. AAs are Guild ambassadors and trusted partners who believe in the power of education as they work with students to make transformational life decisions to use their education benefits and advance their professional opportunities. We have found over time that we have an underserved Spanish-speaking population. Most of these students are interested in our recently developed ELL (English language learner) programs. As a Bilingual Admissions Advisor, you will also be an integral part of the admissions cycle to our ELL population. Expect to communicate (phone call/text/email) in Spanish with more than 60% of your leads.

As a Guild Bilingual Admissions Advisor, you will:

  • Prospect and engage with new student leads on a daily basis by responding to inbound connections and creatively sourcing leads from our existing database
  • Nourish relationships by learning about prospective students’ work and educational experience as well as their goals so that you can more effectively help them understand their benefits and paths to education (whether online classes, programs or accredited college degrees)
  • Be flexible, open minded, and up for the challenge of helping develop and execute a new team focused on supporting our ELL (English Language Learners) populations
  • Be forward thinking and put students 1st. - think of ways we can adapt/improve our methods to serve our ELL population. Whether rethinking our approach to collecting data or creating content, what else can we provide for our students to succeed?
  • Own the outcomes of these initial conversations as key to the students’ paths forward as well as a critical component to Guild’s long term success
  • Push to connect with every single possible student from our employer partners - be enthusiastic about achieving or exceeding ambitious goals
  • Expertly navigate our internal contact strategy to communicate with students whether by phone, email or text
  • Develop and improve your consultative conversation approaches through feedback and call coaching, training programs, and collaboration with team members around best practices and insights
  • Support the students throughout the entire application and enrollment process in order to ensure a seamless, productive and positive experience with Guild
  • Ensure prospective students have a clear understanding of the skills, technology, and time commitment needed to be a successful student & working adult
  • Accurately manage your student pipeline and data in Salesforce
  • Work across different departments to creating marketing campaigns, course offerings, and provide feedback on learnings
  • Create and implement standard documents, guides, and processes for students and local sales markets to streamline admissions for participants
  • Bring in your own ideas to optimize the admissions processes, the student experience and to reach the targets.

We hope you have:

  • The ability to speak Spanish fluently - it’s okay if you don’t know admissions jargon, we’ll teach you that… but we want to know you can build relationships over the phone, via text and email
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and trust with others quickly on the phone and via email or text
  • A data-driven mindset and the ability to use insights from qualitative conversations and quantitative metrics to build stronger relationships and achieve better results
  • Experience in admissions, enrollment, consultative sales or recruiting roles and a desire to apply those skills to help working adults pursue education
  • A willingness and self-driven motivation to step outside your role and contribute to projects and initiatives in our fast-growing startup environment
  • Resilience, openness and an ability to positively respond and adapt to frequent change
  • Ability to successfully accomplish goals driven by lead flow as part of a high-performing, metrics-driven team
  • A belief in our mission - this role is compensated on base pay, not incentive bonuses
  • Great attention to detail, making sure data is entered and accurate
  • Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM

Guild Education believes that a diverse and inclusive team will contribute toward our ability to achieve our mission and will dedicate intentional effort to building a team that reflects that belief.
