OpenTable is creating a brand new Customer Support team, and we’re looking for Bilingual French/English Customer Support Representatives. This is a very exciting opportunity to be on the ground floor of a brand new Denver-based OpenTable office.  This will NOT be your average call center!  We believe strongly in the importance of team work and collaboration.  We recognize hard work and success, and we strive to foster an environment of learning, development and FUN! 

 

About The Role:

 

Reporting to the Customer Support Supervisor, our Customer Support Representatives will be responsible for providing support to restaurants and diners, answering complex questions on function and usage of products via telephone, email and/or Internet. S/he will be the primary contact for our customers in North America and the secondary contact for OpenTable customers worldwide with the goal of providing outstanding service. (How cool that you might get to talk to someone in Australia, mate!)

 

The most important thing you can bring to this role is a passion for helping people.  We’re not too concerned about what certifications you have, or how many years of relevant experience you bring with you.  While there is a technical nature to the role, in the end, if you have a knack for connecting to people and an aptitude (and interest) for learning computer/technical stuff, we can teach you what you need to know.  If you come with some knowledge of computers and computer networking, even better.  We can teach you our software and technology, we cannot teach you compassion or empathy. You will become our best marketing tool, and will help foster a prosperous relationship with both our restaurants and diners.

 

. Responsibilities:

 

  • Answer customer and employee calls, emails, community posts, and any future form of contact we may come up with using your brain, not a script.
  • Provide outstanding service
  • Know your limitations and when you should escalate
  • Own the resolution to the problem; don’t leave the customer hanging
  • Accurately and efficiently log all contacts in our CRM (Salesforce)

 

Requirements:

Hours can vary depending on shift, but our contact center will operate 7 days a week up to 18 hours a day. We will have standard 8 hour work days with 30min - 1 hour lunch breaks, but we can be flexible too! You must be flexible to work morning, evening and weekend shifts as assigned.  Must be fluent in French & English.

 

Desired Experience:

 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a bias towards customer service
  • Strong communication skills: active listening, writing/typing, informal communication
  • Speaking, Reading and Writing in English is required
  • Restaurant/ Hospitality experience (or even just being a “foodie”) is a plus
  • At least a couple of years’ experience providing customer support would be great, so that you know you enjoy doing this, preferably in a software support environment
  • Working knowledge of current Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Knowledge of iOS and Apple Hardware
  • Working knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP), networking infrastructure, switching and routing is a plus, but not required
  • Experience with the use of support desk tools like Salesforce, Communities, live chat
