Benefits Administrator

What will you do in this role?
Manage and administer benefit programs and systems for Peaksware and its subsidiary companies. Responsibilities include welcoming and educating new hires on benefits offerings, maintaining HRIS systems & data, and compliance tracking and reporting. You will work with employees, benefits carriers, insurance brokers, compliance agencies and vendors to help provide excellent benefits services to Peaksware employees.
Specifically:
- Coordinate wellness activities to include annual health risk assessment process and onsite flu-shot clinic
- Reconcile monthly insurance vendor invoices and submit to A/P for timely payment; resolve any discrepancies with carriers
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Peaksware 401k Plan for employees, third-party administrator and provider for day to day plan administration
- Resolve employee benefit related issues
Health and Welfare Benefits
Liaison with benefit brokers and carriers to participate in annual planning of all employee benefit offerings:
- Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Plans
- Ancillary Plans including Life, AD&D and Disability Plans
- Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts
- Open-Enrollment planning and coordination
Administer above benefit offerings as well as:
- COBRA
- Leaves of Absence (FMLA/STD/LTD)
- Paid Time Off (PTO/Sick/Bereavement/Jury Duty)
- Workers Compensation
HRIS Administration
- Update and maintain HRIS to ensure accurate input of personnel changes (hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, etc.) within payroll deadlines
- Create reports and provide data for workforce analytics
Training
- Educate employees on using Peaksware’s benefits and payroll systems.
What does it take to be successful in this role:
- A minimum of three years of benefits and HRIS experience
- Familiarity with pertinent laws, regulations and filing and compliance requirements affecting employee benefits programs, leaves of absence, workers compensation, FMLA, and EEO
- Advanced computer skills to include data entry, Word, Excel and Powerpoint and Google
- Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong initiative and ability to anticipate issues proactively
- Ability to succeed in an evolving and changing environment
- Proven track record of reliability and responsibility
- Strong attention to detail and organizational / administrative skills
- Discreet and able to handle confidential and proprietary information appropriately
- Ability to interact with individuals from diverse levels and backgrounds within the company and to provide excellent customer service
Ideally, you will have:
- Knowledge of / experience using Paycom
- Demonstrated experience managing benefits in a company of 300+ employees
- Knowledge of self-funded benefit plans and HSA’s
- Sense of humor and fun personality
