looking for an ambitious, commercially focused attorney to fill its
first full-time, in-house legal position. The role will be involved with
the whole spectrum of the business’ legal and compliance needs,
including M&A and capital markets transactions, commercial
transactions, employment, payments, regulatory compliance, intellectual
property, privacy, and general day-to-day legal issues.


You will work closely with the business to support and help drive
the company’s growth strategy and vision. You will be comfortable
working autonomously, learning new things, and making pragmatic
decisions in a fast-paced environment. This is a challenging role with

Key Responsibilities:
•   
Partnering with the executive team to manage legal and compliance
intiatives across the whole company, including acquired subsidiaries,
and with the wider business to support the delivery of key business
projects
•    Identifying, and proactively managing, legal and compliance risks affecting the business
•    Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements with strategic partners, vendors, and customers
•    Providing substantial support and involvement in M&A and capital markets transactions
•    Directing and managing external counsel in conjunction with the CFO and our private equity owner
•    Handling day-to-day legal and compliance matters, including customer, vendor, partner, and employment contracts and issues

What You Have:
•    J.D. and membership in at least one state bar
•   
5-10 years of post-qualification experience, including prior in-house
experience with a technology company and/or at a recognized law firm
•    Substantial M&A and capital markets transaction experience
•    Experience with software companies and negotiating technology transactions
•    Regulatory and privacy experience
•    Experience building influence among executives and business and engineering stakeholders
•    Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and demanding environment
•    Excellent commercial acumen and business judgement
•    Excellent written/verbal communication and negotiation skills
•    Ability to organize, prioritize and manage deadlines in a fast-based work environment
•    Highly responsive and service-oriented attitude
