A/R Responsibilities:

  • Manage and review A/R activities including generating customer statements and posting deposits
  • Monitor A/R status for all customers and place collection calls
  • Maintain and create accurate filing and record keeping systems

A/P  Responsibilities:

  • Match purchase order with invoices, verify accuracy and ensure proper account coding for timely payment processing
  • Set up new vendors with proper coding
  • Enter invoices into the accounting systems
  • Effectively and timely answer inquiries from employees and vendors regarding accounts payable for all related matters

Extras:

  • Continuously improve and effectively communicate all accounting processes; must be capable of providing staff process orientations
  • Play a role in the implementation of process and systems improvements
  • Familiar with account reconciliations, general ledger, and various accounting functions

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • AA Degree in accounting or business administration
  • At least 5 years of hands-on general ledger accounting experience.
  • Software or technology sector experience a plus
  • Guru level Quick Books skills coupled with top notch Excel skills
  • Passion for using software applications to improve job effectiveness
  • Self-directed, resourceful, with an agile mind – you can switch priorities quickly and your memory is remarkable
  • Determined to meet deadlines
