Craftsy is looking for an experienced senior leader with deep performance and affiliate marketing expertise to lead our Affiliate Marketing Team and Instructor Marketing Channel. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, self-starter with a passion for data-driven problem solving to help take channel performance, revenue and growth to the next level. Our ideal candidate will have strong quantitative and analytical skills, a natural business acumen and the ability to work cross-functionally within the company to facilitate testing and experimentation of ideas that we can leverage to deliver new buyers and revenue growth. 
 
As our Affiliate Director, you will:
  • Develop and execute overall affiliate strategy across influencer channels, formulating scalable marketing programs and promotions to engage the affiliate and instructor base and to increase affiliate and instructor-driven revenue
  • Grow the number of new buyers directly derived from these channels
  • Manage the affiliate and instructor teams as they execute against overall affiliate and instructor channel strategy to develop new or custom content, enhance existing programs and generate increasingly better performance
  • Manage the relationship with Shareasale, our affiliate platform partner
  • Work within the business development team to implement marketing campaigns with top-tier affiliates, instructors and influencers and build a lifecycle plan on what makes a quality affiliate and/or instructor
  • Work with the internal product and engineering teams on site enhancements and tools needed to execute programs and initiatives at scale
  • Work closely with the content & editorial team to increase the value of our instructor network
  • Identify and recruit new affiliates and explore building alliances with professional affiliate networks
  • Keep track of affiliate and instructor sales and monitor accounts for fraudulent activity
  • Monitor and report on competitors’ affiliate and instructor campaigns and promotions
  • Develop top performers into super affiliates by nurturing and educating existing and new affiliates on how to become successful
  • Be a thought leader on affiliate marketing strategies and best in class programs in the affiliate world and represent Craftsy at affiliate and industry conferences or events 
Your background and experience will likely include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:
  • 5+ years experience with performance marketing execution, including several years managing teams
  • Experience working with Shareasale or other affiliate platforms like Commission Junction
  • Exceptional quantitative and analytical skill set including the ability to analyze channel ROI and resource allocation and to answer strategic questions 
  • Experience with SQL and a high proficiency in Excel is required 
  • Ability to think creatively, structure ambiguous problems, and synthesize analyses to generate insights and actionable plans for diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a bias for being concise
  • Rapid learner who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to design and run experiments to evaluate marketing tactics (e.g. pricing, messaging, etc.) 
  • Demonstrated leadership and evidence that you can inspire and build high performing teams while focused on delivering outstanding results
