Accounts Payable Manager
HomeAdvisor, headquartered just west of downtown Denver, CO, is the leading domestic online marketplace connecting homeowners with prescreened and customer-rated home service professionals. We are currently seeking an experienced, results-driven Accounts Payable Manager to join our hard-charging Accounting team. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of accounts payable experience in a multi-entity professional accounting environment, be deadline-driven, with a proven track record of on-the-job performance, and have a desire to excel in and improve our innovative and ever-changing company.
What you'll be doing:
- Manage AP shared services function for 4 separate entities (approximately 1,200-1,500 transactions per month, including both check and ACH payments).
- Manage all compliance reporting including but not limited to 1099, 1042, self-assessment of sales and use tax
- Supervise AP team, currently 2 individuals.
- Support both internal and external customers.
- Reconcile vendor accounts and accounts payable aging.
- Support Internal Audit (both in-house and Parent Company) with both internal and external audit processes.
- IRS research for expenditures such as relocation, cash awards, and executive perquisite.
- Drive accounts payable system and business process enhancements to improve utilization of existing system and efficiency of data processing.
- Represent AP in conjunction with pending ERP Implementation.
- Ensure appropriate accounts payable controls are in place to support business operations consistent with the company's growth and reporting requirements.
- Ad-hoc analysis as directed by both the Controller and the VP, Accounting.

- Minimum 4+ years of accounts payable experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Ability to learn large chart of accounts and gain familiarity vendor set quickly.
- Understanding of accounting theory and US GAAP to ensure proper coding between expense and balance sheet accounts.
- Strong analytical skills and auditing skills, with the ability to research and reconcile difficult accounts.
- Good communication skills.
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- A curious, proactive and independent nature, with the willingness to 'roll up your sleeves' in order to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of SAGE 50 or PeachTree Quantum is preferred.
- Payroll experience is a plus
