Job Description

As an Account Manager for Sovrn, you are the engine driving long-term, trusting relationships with Sovrn’s most valued asset: our existing publishers. Account Managers focus on proactively communicating issues, fully understanding publisher existing setup and providing them with the best customer service, exceeding our publisher's expectations. Team members have a unique talent to motivate all of the cross-functional internal stakeholders to creatively troubleshoot and find solutions for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a book of existing Sovrn accounts
  • Operate as the direct point-of-contact for all matters specific to your accounts
  • Develop and grow deeper relationships with Sovrn publishers
  • Engage with a minimum number of customers per day via live contact
  • Assist in cross-selling and upselling activities by the company
  • Ability to minimize churn by identifying at-risk accounts and proactively stabilize the account
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal stakeholders
  • Pay high attention to detail and be able to connect partners to appropriate solutions, and manage multiple clients, tasks, and responsibilities simultaneously
  • Demonstrate persistence, tenacity, ability to overcome obstacles, and handle objections
  • Gain a deep understanding of your publisher's needs and opportunities and use this information to inform product development
  • Perform regular QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews) with publishers
  • Clearly articulate Sovrn’s value proposition in the advertising marketplace and represent Sovrn externally
  • Assist in developing marketing materials and other customer testimonials

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 1+ years’ of account management or customer service experience
  • Excellent track record of maintaining and growing a book of business
  • The ability to write succinct, crisp emails and possess great phone presence
  • Ability to organize, multi­-task, and prioritize effectively in a fast-­paced environment with occasional changing priorities
  • Understanding of the online advertising industry/eco-system including DSP’s, behavioral targeting and data providers
  • Ability to read, organize and analyze large data sets in order to understand and provide publishers with solutions helping to maintain and increase revenue
  • Internet savvy and strong proficiency in office productivity tools (Gmail, Google Apps, Confluence/JIRA, Salesforce CRM)
  • Ability to put together high-quality presentations in PowerPoint
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Vlookups, Formulas, pivot tables, etc)
  • Understand and navigate reporting tools such as Tableau and Grafana

Bonus Points!

  • Knowledge/Experience in ad serving or other advertising technology systems a plus
  • Familiarity with current ad tech landscape and Sovrn’s place and value proposition in the market
