Account Executive, Media
Ibotta is seeking an Account Executive, Media to help build Ibotta’s media business. The role requires a strong focus on business development through cultivating top-to-top relationships and developing "solution suites" based on Ibotta’s existing range of products and services - data subscriptions, and targeting solutions. This role will work closely with the analytics team, Ibottalytics, to shape strategy and product.
Responsibilities:
- Establish relationships with senior level contacts at multiple advertisers, primarily via media agencies, programmatic partners, DMPs and also client direct.
- Develop compelling written sales collateral including client ready PowerPoint documents and Preferred Partnership word memos that clearly articulate Ibotta's key points of differentiation, including:
- Purchase Intent based targeting
- Offline sales attribution via a “purchase through rate” analysis
- 100% viewable content
- Highly native
- User initiated content
- Priced on a cost per completed view (CPCV) basis
- Rapidly growing millennial user base (18MM+ and counting)
- Work with programmatic ad-networks & other media platforms (DSPs, DMPs, Trading Desks, SSPs, etc.) to sell Ibotta’s item-level purchase data for programmatic media targeting & offline sales attribution
- Independently secure and manage large media buys for the world’s leading advertisers
- Contribute to the growth of Ibotta’s media sales team by sourcing, attracting and retaining additional media sales executives
- Embrace Ibotta’s cultural hallmarks of bold and collaborative initiative taking, while “out-hustling” the competition
What does it take to be successful in this role?
- 5+ years of senior level sales experience, with direct digital media sales responsibilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High level of comfort presenting in both small and large sales pitches attended by senior executives
- Demonstrated track record of exceeding ambitious sales & business development goals
- Desire to make a large impact on a rapidly growing startup
- A history of strategic selling to media agencies, programmatic ad networks, and other media partners, etc.
- A proactive and creative approach to sourcing new clients (Hunter vs Farmer)
- Willingness and flexibility to travel, attend conferences, etc.
- Expected travel 20 - 35%
