Account Executive

Guild is looking to build out our account management team and looking for several team members to join as Account Executives. In this role, you’ll work with our client partnership and sales teams to establish strong relationships across our Fortune 1000 clients as they offer Guild’s education benefits platform and network of partners to their frontline employees.

This is a critical addition to Guild as we work toward our mission and we’re eager to find the right person. If you join Guild’s team on our account management team, you will:

  • Develop, implement and iterate account strategies for partners that will best position partners, Guild and most importantly, students, for success
  • Cultivate strong relationships with existing partners to ensure retention and to increase enrollment and engagement - determine the balance of education, information and action required for each partner
  • Create plans and coordinate with cross-functional partners to achieve relevant OKRs associated with existing and new partners
  • Ensure ongoing partner satisfaction by becoming a trusted, valuable resource who provides clients with the insights and information necessary to get the most out of their partnership with Guild
  • See success through outstanding references from existing and new partners as well as the expansion of the partnership over time with increasingly better outcomes
  • Partner cross-functionally and stay up to date on the diverse set of Guild programs and offerings in order to effectively share information, make recommendations and tailor ongoing solutions
  • Effectively manage partner activity in Salesforce so that relevant team members have the most up to date information
  • Understand the data that drives decisions and success - know when to ask for more or draw on the insights to improve outcomes (understanding numbers at each stage of funnel - where are we succeeding, where are risks or gaps)
  • Negotiate renewals and expanding contracts, deliver demos of new products, upsell clients into new programs, and build and execute communication plans with partners to support marketing and communication activities
  • Provide partner feedback to other Guild team members in marketing, student and product team
  • Develop new materials - presentations, best practices, rollout plans, proposals, etc. - as needed.
  • Provide insights to relevant Guild teams and leadership about partners’ successes, pain-points, and overall status

We’ll prioritize the following experience and attributes as we evaluate candidates throughout the hiring process:

  • Experience in a sales or account management role at a high-growth, venture-backed startup
  • Experience effectively selling to and cultivating relationships with HR or LOB groups
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and communicate effectively while under pressure - balancing confidence, humility and diplomacy internally and externally
  • Expertise in the use of Salesforce to manage partner accounts and support team performance
  • A pattern of achievement and progression throughout your roles
  • Demonstrated ability to take an analytical and data driven approach to account/partner management
