JavaScript is the language of interactivity on the web. If you want to create something that just about everybody on the planet can see and use, JavaScript is your programming language. You probably encountered JavaScript when you were browsing the web. Have you Ever used Google Maps? Seen a slideshow of images? Then you've used JavaScript!

In this course, You'll begin learning to develop interactive websites. We will be covering basic JavaScript and jQuery, as well as dynamic HTML, JSON and web APIs. (If you don't know what any of those acronyms mean, don't worry... this is the class for you!)

The course will be taught by Osama "Sam" Alghanmi

Turing School of Software & Design :: 1510 Blake St, Denver, CO

There are various paid parking options in the area for anywhere between $8 - $15 per day.

• Your laptop and charger.
• Wifi & power strips will be provided
• If you do not already have Google Chrome or Firefox, install it before class.
• We will be using Sublime Text 2 (http://www.sublimetext.com/2) in class.

To complete this course you'll need to know:
• The structure of an html page: html, head, & body elements.
• The basic syntax of html: elements, attributes, how to nest elements
• How to give an element an id or a class - css selectors: how to select elements by id or by class

We're here to help! If you have additional questions or would like to talk further before signing up for a class, please contact Rachel Warbelow ([masked]) or Bree Thomas ([masked]).

NOTE: If we have less than 5 people signed up for this class up to a week before the starting date, it will be postponed for a later date.
