When two companies merge, maintaining a uniform culture is paramount — and that’s where Boulder-based RoundPegg comes in. Last week, the corporate culture management solutions firm announced $2.8 million in financing from Access Venture Partners, Point B Capital and Dundee Venture Capital.

“Companies are placing more emphasis on the asset that their corporate culture represents; not only in attracting top talent, but also driving workforce performance and employee retention,” said RoundPegg CEO Tim Wolters in a statement.

Founded in 2009, RoundPegg offers cloud culture management software that allows employers to track everything from employee engagement to retention to revenue. Since its inception, RoundPegg has grown 180 percent year over year and landed a number of notable clients, including Nike, SendGrid, eBay and Zillow. This year, RoundPegg predicts nearing 250 percent growth compared to 2012, according to a press release.

The company offers a variety of products, such as CulturePegg, HirePegg and TeamPegg. Earlier this year, it added EngagePegg to its roster, which allows employers to track employee engagement and address issues before they become real problems. Now, RoundPegg is looking to expand its own marketing and sales teams.

As they grow their own team, RoundPegg leadership shows they aren’t all talk when it comes to culture management. Within their own walls, employees engage in quarterly reviews as well as one-on-one feedback sessions whenever necessary. Everything is confidential, and the goal is to make performance reviews work for the company, not against it.

“Our job is to make sure our employees are being successful, and if they’re not, we’re doing something wrong,” co-founder and COO Brent Daily told Talent Management Magazine in September. Seeing that the RoundPegg team is so committed to the philosophy it sells, it’s no wonder so many other companies are lining up to walk the walk as well.
