Quick Look at Quick Left: A Year In Review

Quick Left started from humble beginnings in the emerging tech-center of Boulder, Colorado. Our focus from the beginning has been rooted in software engineering excellence. While others in the field rest on a traditional agency model, Quick Left has diverged from the crowd with an engineering-first approach. Instead of a bloated system full of project managers, account executives, and self-proclaimed vice presidents, etc. Quick Left offers surgical solutions to application development. We wanted to build from our core strengths, and achieve the optimum product for our clients. It’s been exciting to find that this approach perfectly aligns with our clients seeking technology solutions with direct access from our experts.

Quick Left’s success is reflective in its growth, as documented in Inc. 500’s fastest growing companies in the United States. We’re looking forward to new challenges and leveraging the talents of our ever-growing team. Adding more rigor and self-discipline without losing our culture were the biggest challenges we've faced so far, and I'm happy to say that our team has responded by constantly raising the bar in ways I could have never imagined!

As we look to the future, I’m confident to say we are well-positioned for continued growth and success, even more so than 2013. We strive everyday through building applications, consulting clients, hosting hackfests, and giving conference talks to grow our commitment to engineering excellence.

So just what did 2013 look like you ask? Well, we've helped a lot of clients over the years. But this year, we launched nearly 30 applications across several industries-nearly half of all the apps we've created were from this year alone.
[ibimage==25107==Original==none==self==ibimage_align-center]We did quite a bit of educational outreach to give back, requiring quite a bit of coffee to get it all done.

Our team of expert developers contributed a lot of code, too!

To make all these projects happen, we had to continue to hire. Our hard work and growth were recognized by a few organizations in the process.

Though I've been speaking a lot lately, not nearly as much as my team. Proud that we're sought out to share our knowledge nationally and internationally.
[ibimage==25111==Original==none==self==ibimage_align-center]Our hackfests hit record numbers this year and will continue to be a staple in the Front Range tech community.

We did all this while still having fun riding bikes and constantly keeping each other entertained through gifs, not forgetting our QL culture along the way while experiencing continued growth.

Thank you to our wonderful clients, avid Quick Left supporters and cheerleaders, and to my team of experts-the QLers. Without you, 2013 wouldn't have been nearly as successful. We want you to be a part of our 2014, so please say hello if you're interested in working with or for Quick Left.
