Level 3 Communications helps take down a criminal network

Boulder-based Level 3 Communications teamed up with Cisco to take down a major criminal software network. The malicious software affected about 90,000 computers every day, and earned the hackers as much as $90 million a year. Techstars has eyes for Nigerian startups

Boulder-based Techstars is looking for opportunities in Nigerian information and communication technology companies. Ft. Collins airport gets a ‘virtual’ flight tower

The Fort Collins-Loveland Municipal Airport was selected by the Federal Aviation Administration to test new Virtual Air Traffic Control Tower technology. The airport does not have a physical control tower, which has made it difficult to keep carriers interested in the servicing the city. Seagate completes purchase of Dot Hill Systems

The Bay Area behemoth Seagate completed their $696 million purchase of Longmont-based Dot Hill Systems. The acquisition was first publicly announced in August, and represented at $9.75 per share price for the software and hardware storage company. Foundry Group &  Techstars Ventures invest in Pioneer Square Labs

Seattle-based Pioneer Square Labs raised $12.5 million in funding from at least twelve venture capital firms and as many as 50 angel investors. The Foundry Group led the investment round, which included a who’s who of venture capital firms and angel investors. SFX may be looking to sell Beatport

SFX Entertainment is apparently looking to sell off some of its assets in a hurry, including Denver-based Beatport. Apparently SFX overpaid for a number of properties and now needs to offload some assets at a large discount.
