Since the legalization of recreational sales of marijuana in 2014, Colorado’s cannabis industry has exploded. In its first year, in Colorado alone, the cannabis industry sold over 5 million marijuana-infused edibles and almost 150 thousand pounds of marijuana buds. In total, the industry took in over $700 million in 2014. To put that into perspective, the iPhone only took in $630 million in its first year.
Built in Colorado sat down with some of the tech startups that are building out a digital infrastructure for the cannabis industry.
