ZenPayroll has annouced one of the largest Colorado hiring initiatives in the state's history.

The Google-backed, San Francisco-based company said they plan on hiring a whopping 1,750 employees in their soon-to-be-opened Denver offices over the course of the next eight years.

To put this number of jobs into perspective, when the company announced their latest funding in April, they employed just 84 people.

The company is reportedly planning on leasing an office that could be as large as 50,000 square feet and is expected to be located in the center of Denver. While it will take years for the company to finish all of their hiring, the initial Denver office will employ about 100 people.

The company’s hiring announcement comes just months after raising $60 million in funding from Google Capital. To sweeten the deal and bring ZenPayroll into Colorado, state officials have provided the company with an incentive package that totals around $17.5 million.

ZenPayroll produces software that makes it easier for small businesses to pay their employees.
